Not All Of Us Are Born Negotiators

Part of being a great leader is finding common ground between one or more parties. It may get tense and having the right mindset is what stands between a good or a bad outcome.

Whilst negotiating may come more naturally to some, others may feel the pressure of asking for what they want, and are often left with the short end of the stick.

Negotiation Skills Can Be Taught

Fortunately, negotiating is as much about empathy and listening as it is about haggling. After witnessing the layers of conversation being peeled back and getting coached through these interactions, you’ll be amazed by the quick results.

Learning Outcomes

What to expect

With Business Negotiation Skills, you’ll be able to be clear and concise with your requests while listening to the needs of the other person in the negotiation. This effective communication is what leads to the sort of business arrangements that yield long and fruitful work relationships.

You will also learn how to:

  • Gain deep rapport, quickly.
  • Conquer the power of listening.
  • Stay focused on the requirements of the business by using 3rd person approaches.
  • Communicate and gain trust.
  • Look at a situation from others’ perspectives.
  • Adapt your language and tone for a positive impact on negotiations.

Avoid Missed Opportunities

Without the proper negotiating skills, we will show up unprepared, let emotions take over and ultimately lead one party to drop out of the deal, damaging relationships in both personal and professional scenarios.

Don’t leave value on the table because you weren’t able to navigate the conversation effectively.

Find A Win-Win For Everyone

Negotiation is a collaboration, not a competition. When mastering the skills of negotiation, not only will you gain respect by asking for what you want, but you will deliver lasting, quality relationships with others who appreciate your empathic nature.
